What is it? Sustainable is meeting the needs of
today without compromising the needs of our future
generations. Northland Buildings strives to apply
this principle by utilizing materials and methods of
construction that use less energy, cause less pollution
and less waste while still providing the strength,
durability and affordability of post-frame construction.
Energy Efficient
We use efficient insulation, windows and doors purchased from
local businesses, carefully crafted to meet energy standards.
Recyclable Steel
The steel used in Northland buildings is durable, strong, low
maintenance, and long-lasting. New steel has 25-35% recycled
content, and is 100% recyclable at the end of its useful life.
Lumber and Building Materials
We use lumber that is engineered to meet the strength and
specifications of the industry. We work with responsible lumber
suppliers to ensure lumber is from sustainable and renewable
forests that practice ethical land stewardship. Northland Buildings
uses building products made from recycled materials whenever
possible, helping to reduce solid waste problems and save on
natural resources.
Minimize Waste
We strive to order the correct amounts and lengths of our building
materials so that waste is kept minimal. Our warehouse is
centrally located to help save on shipping costs.
Communication
Our sales and engineering staff are trained to obtain all the
information needed to make the building process move smoothly
and efficiently.
Craftsmanship
Our builders are local crews that take pride in their work. They are
committed to providing quality workmanship for their neighbors
and communities.
Commitment
We are committed to providing the best quality and value,
keeping in mind the environmental impact and sustainable value
of our buildings and the satisfaction of our customers.
